Hey,
So last week I was delighted to be asked to go on the B Bakery Afternoon Tea bus to try out their new Vegan afternoon tea. I had been on this afternoon tea bus before and really enjoyed it. The weekend I choose to go on the bus was the weekend my Mam was visiting so I knew it would be perfect for us.
About the tour:
The afternoon tea bus started at Victoria Bus Station and then we travelled around to some of Londons top sights Hyde Park, Buckingham Palace, London Eye etc all while having our afternoon tea. It really is so much fun lots of people take photos of the bus and wave while you are on which is very funny. The tour lasts about 1 hour and 30 minutes. The day we did this the weather was perfect clear blue skies and the sun was shining it was great!
Vegan Afternoon Tea:
Before I start telling you about the food I wanted to let you know that I am not a Vegan but my Mam has a lot of food intolerances and this option was perfect for her she could eat everything without feeling sick or worrying about feeling sick later that day.
So back to the food when you get on the bus the food is already there for you and you are assigned a table ours looked just as amazing as everyone elses and I couldn’t wait to dig in.
The fresh sandwiches that we got were beetroot and cucumber sandwich, avocado and carrot roll, mixed vegetables quiche, quinoa and mint verrine and mixed roasted vegetables on a ciabatta.
The homemade vegan cakes were panna cotta on coconut rocher, chocolate mousse verrine, lemon drizzle slice and a cupcake. The staff also brough out fresh scones for everyone ours was brought out first as it was different to everyone else it was still hot and tasted amazing.
You also get a choice of different teas and coffees we had what I believe was soy milk.
When the tour is over you get little boxes to bring home what you did not eat and also the mug that you use is a travel mug so you can bring this too 🙂
Overall this is such a great experience and I think that this Vegan option is such a great addition to have on this bus tour because I can only imagine how hard it is to find places that offer a full range of vegan foods for afternoon tea. I know for my mam it is difficult so this was just great that she got to experience this. If you have anyone visiting London this is a great way to see sights and eat at the same time you can find out all the information about the Vegan Afternoon Tea on the B-Bakery website here
They also offer lots of other Afternoon Tea options like afternoon picnic which I think I will be trying out in the Summer such a great idea!
